Spring in Lake Tahoe: the days are longer, the sun is warmer, the snow is softer (albeit slushier), and the events calendar is stacked. By spring, snowpack depths are ample (250+ inches), and spring storm cycles are typically prominent, making it one of the best times to plan a ski trip to the area.

With six world-class ski areas in the North Lake Tahoe area: Northstar, Squaw Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl, Homewood, Scott’s Peak and Diamond Peak, there’s no shortage of on-mountain spring-time adventures to be had. Beyond skiing, the North Tahoe area features an incredible line-up of spring events, concerts, and festivals.

To help you experience the best that North Lake Tahoe has to offer, we compiled a list of some of our favorite spring experiences.
