Can I Come Stay In Tahoe?


Due to current State and County health directives, Tahoe Exclusive Vacation Rentals will not be accepting rental bookings with an arrival date before June 15*, 2020. You can book a reservation online with an arrival date after June 15.


Can I Cancel My Reservation?

Our new Flexible Deposit and Cancellation Policies let you book with confidence in these uncertain times:


Summer Flexible Deposit and Cancellation Policy: June 15-November 19, 2020

A 10% deposit is due upon booking and is non-refundable. Final payment is due 14 days prior to arrival, at which time the entire booking becomes non-modifiable and non-refundable.


Winter Flexible Deposit and Cancellation Policy: November 20, 2020-April 18, 2020

A 10% deposit is due upon booking and is non-refundable. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival, at which time the booking becomes non-modifiable and non-refundable.


Holiday Flexible Deposit and Cancellation Policy: December 17-25, 2020; December 26, 2020-January 3, 2021, January 14-18, 2021, February 11-21, 2021

A 25% deposit is due upon booking and is non-refundable. Final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival, at which time the booking becomes non-modifiable and non-refundable.


*Should a Shelter-In-Place order be enacted in Truckee/Tahoe or in the place that you live, we will assess a cancellation request or postponed trip request on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at if you have any questions.


What Cleaning Precautions are Being Taken?


Our professional, local cleaning team has always taken great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the safety of our guests, owners and staff. In response to COVID-19, we have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures in line with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) - using approved disinfectant products and taking extra time to thoroughly disinfect high-touch surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, handles, remotes, and light switches. 


All linens and towels are laundered by a professional service using high water temperatures and heavy-duty dryers. Linen and towels are returned in sealed bags to ensure they are not contaminated before use.


Our private homes are equipped with lockboxes or keypads in order to minimize person-to-person contact, letting you check-in and check-out without needing to interface with staff.


What Is Open In Tahoe?


Currently, all non-essentials businesses are closed. Some restaurants are selling food and drink to-go, and businesses are offering online shopping. Check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am.* Guests may check-in 24 hours a day. Please refer to arrival information for specific check-in instructions.

  • Non-holiday reservations may be cancelled up to eight (8) weeks prior to the arrival date of the reservation by submitting a written notice of cancellation to Agent. Agent will refund any fees paid by Renter less the 50% non-refundable reservation fee. Within eight (8) weeks prior to arrival the reservation becomes 100% non-refundable and non-modifiable, excluding the damage insurance, departure clean fee and occupancy tax on the departure clean fee.
  • Holiday reservations are non-refundable and non-modifiable at the time of booking. Once Agent confirms the signed Rental Agreement and receives the 50% reservation fee, Renter is obligated for the full amount of the Rent. Cancellation of a holiday reservation at any time will result in a forfeiture of the full amount of Rent.
  • There shall be no refund or credit provided beyond this cancellation policy in the event Renter is unable to arrive at the Property on the arrival date or in the event Renter departs from the Property prior to the departure date for the following reasons, including but not limited to: road closures, inclement weather, health problems, fires in the basin which do not require evacuation, or disruption of utility services.

Reservation Fee and Payments:

A reservation fee of 50% of the Rent is due immediately upon execution of this Rental Agreement.  Once paid, the reservation fee is for services rendered in entering into this Rental Agreement and is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-MODIFIABLE.  The balance of the Rent and other charges specified above is due eight (8) weeks prior to arrival. If this Rental Agreement is entered into less than eight (8) weeks prior to arrival, all amounts are due immediately upon execution of this Rental Agreement.  Please indicate in Paragraph 23, below, your preference for payment: check or credit card.

Vacation Rental Damage Protection:

As a part of your stay, you may purchase a Vacation Rental Damage Protection plan designed to cover unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3,000. Any damages that exceed $3,000 or are not covered under the plan will be charged to the credit card on file. If, during your stay at one of our rental properties, an insured person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $3,000. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Vacation Rental Damage coverage are contained in the Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy: The Vacation Rental Damage plan can be purchased up to, and including at, check-in. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request CSA Travel Protection and Insurance Services to pay directly Tahoe Exclusive Vacation Rentals any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Vacation Rental Damage. Please contact Tahoe Exclusive Vacation Rentals directly if you do not wish to participate in this assignment.


Absolutely no smoking and no pets are allowed inside the Property.
