Truckee Rodeo

The Truckee Pro Rodeo is back for its 51st year, bringing two days of classic rodeo action, family fun, and local flavor to the Sierra. Held at McIver Arena, this longtime Truckee tradition features everything from bull riding and barrel racing to vendor shopping, great food, and live music. Whether you’re coming for Family Night or ready to two-step at Saturday’s Dirt Dance, it’s the kind of summer weekend you don’t want to miss.
Event Schedule
Friday, August 22 – Family Night
- Gates open: 4:30 PM
- Rodeo begins: 5:30 PM

Saturday, August 23 – Rodeo & Dirt Dance
- Gates open: 2:30 PM
- Rodeo begins: 4:00 PM
- Live music by Everyday Outlaw
- Dirt Dance immediately follows the rodeo

Prices increase at the gate.
- Adults (13–64): $20 online | $25 at the gate
- Kids (6–12): $12 online | $15 at the gate
- Kids 5 & under: Free
- Military & Seniors (65+): $15 online | $20 at the gate
Know Before You Go
- Choose grandstand seating or bring a blanket/chairs for grass seating under the trees
- Food, drinks, and shopping open when the gates do
- Multiple bars run by the Truckee Donner Horsemen Crew
- No outside food or drinks allowed (except water; refill stations available)
- No pets, animals, or weapons allowed—please leave dogs at home for everyone’s safety
