Big Horn Lodge 502

Our stay was just beautiful. Everyone at the resort was friendly the condo was beautiful and updated. The only thing I had any complaints about was the shower in master bedroom water pressure wasn't the best, however we will be diffently coming back and trying to get the same unit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

We called it our Unicorn ski trip, everything went right. Our room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. We skied in and out and used the lockers on the ground floor. Brought groceries and cooked some in the well appointed kitchen, went out to dinners in the village and never saw our car parked securely in the parking garage for three days! Awesome bought boots in the village and have my skis mounted all excellent work. Can’t wait to come back.

Great place. Beautiful location. Plenty to do. We’ll designed. Lost A/C the last night - a little warm.

The listing describes the property as is. There is an activity book everyone should read when they get there to plan activities. We could not have picked a better place to visit with a great host. The host was in contact right away after booking letting us know what the prosses would be. Check in was very easy and Ham could not have been more kind. Instead of renting bikes by the lake we went over to Olympic Valley Ski & Bike and road the trail down the canyon along the Truckee River to the lake. This bike shop is at the base of Palisades Tahoe and at the start of the bike path. Take time to float the Truckee River. It was the most fun thing we did while visiting. Our kids age 4-10 loved it and wanted to go back the next day and do it again. Brooke with the property management company was great to work with and responded quickly with questions. The kitchen has everything you will need.

What a spacious and convenient place for a family to stay! It is steps from the gondola, and the ski lockers on the first floor make it easy to get out of the door in the morning. We also loved the double balconies with great views of the village.

From the moment we stepped into the unit, we felt relaxed and at home. It is spacious for 3-4 people and comfortable for all. The kitchen had several nice touches which made fixing breakfast and happy hour snacks very easy. It also had a huge balcony which we enjoyed in the summer evenings. I hope we are able to come back here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable condo. The location was great for accessing ski lifts, skating and tubing all within view from this unit. The master bath is huge! It could’ve been a 3rd bedroom with room left for a normal size bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped but make sure you bring seasonings, cooking oil, sugar etc. because only salt and pepper were provided.

It was a great place to spend the week with the family! Wonderful location, fabulous amenities & overall amazing spot!

Great location on the top floor with two balconies with different bird's-eye view of the village.
Clean and comfy with all the necessary amenities for our four night stay.

Overall experience was good but the condo needs some things updated & replaced.
* The following items need to be replaced so people can have an enjoyable stay at a resort like Northstar.
- The master bathroom shower head was extremely uncomfortable, it hurt every time we took a shower.
- The bed, pillows and the comforter in the master bedroom were uncomfortable.

* For the huge master bedroom balcony there was not enough seating and no table. For such a large balcony with a great view it is not used properly.
We would have liked to eat some meals out there & enjoyed it more but could not. On the website pictures it is mis-leading in this regard.

Property was beautiful and when we had a problem it was quickly rectified. However, Northstar itself is not a place for seniors who are not very active nor the handicapped. There is no signage outside to let you know which lodge is yours. We came in through the parking garage and neglected to see what shops were close to our lodge when we ventured out. We spent 25 minutes totally lost at Northstar because it was in the evening and none of the help we found spoke English. It is very difficult to get around.

We had a wonderful time renting Big Horn 502 for Thanksgiving ~ our family of four enjoyed being right in the heart of the village for ice skating, hot cocoa, pottery making, and more. And the unit was incredibly well equipped for us to cook a holiday dinner, and with views directly out onto the village center, it really made the holidays come alive.
